What does “self-care” mean to you, and do you feel like you’re due—or overdue—for some? Self care encompasses a wide range of practices, and I’m delighted to invite you to “Yoga Meets Style,” a unique workshop that blends gentle, relaxing Yoga and Reiki practices with a Vision Board exercise on wardrobe styling. We’ll use Pinterest to create a Vision Board to help you envision what an easier, more curated collection of clothing would look and feel like. You’ll leave feeling more confident about your look and gain a tangible way to start taming your wardrobe so that it causes you less stress and more comfort.
Self-care is about creating a sacred space for yourself where you can be YOU and take tender care of your whole self. It is the quiet, healing space that brings the mind and body together in peaceful harmony. Practices like Reiki, Yoga and Meditation, as taught by my friend and workshop co-hostess Katherine Oregel at The Healing Center in Beverly, MA, can help our minds and bodies work together to find the calm and put us in the right state of mind to tackle the “style” aspect of self care.
How is your wardrobe style a part of self-care? My main goal has always been to bring out the joy, the fun, and the creativity in each of my clients. I want each client’s style to reflect her authentic personality and style. Our clothing and our style can tell a story, and I want my clients to rock their stories!
This is where self-care comes into play. It is difficult to find the joy and the fun inside ourselves if we are consumed by outside or internal stressors. Self-care is about creating a safe space within yourself where you can feel secure in your body, your age, size, skin color, and budget. A place where you can feel beautiful and confident in your clothes and in your authentic style!
My goal is to create a space where we can have a better relationship with our wardrobes. At the workshop, through Vision Board exercises with Pinterest, we will change the way we think about our clothes, our style and our wardrobe. The workshop will start with Reiki and Yoga practices led by Katherine to help each of us find that sacred, quiet, loving space so that together we can reach down deep to find our unique creative self, and visit a place where we can turn vision boards into reality and heal and calm our busy minds.
